Profile

Department of Management Studies was established in 1993. The Department aspires to provide quality management education to its students. Department organizes Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), Master of Business Administration (Service Management) and Ph.D. programmes in Management The emphasis is on providing the intellectual input in consequence with the requirement of Indian as well as global environment. Department offers specialization in the areas of marketing, finance and human resource management. The areas of specialisation in MBA are dependent on availability of faculty and other resources. Department have faculty in all the specialization areas of management who are actively involved in teaching, research and training and are contributing at national and international levels through academic research.

The Department aspires to be leading business school and evolve as a centre of excellence in Management by transforming managerial and communication skills of the students to enable them in contributing to the development of the society and the nation. 

Mission Statement of the Department of Management Studies

  1. To impart quality professional education and training in the field of management and inculcate the social responsibility, ethics and spirituality among the budding managers.
  2. To pulverize very enthusiastic management student to transform him into hard working, committed, having a zeal to excel, keeping the values of devotion, concern and honesty.
  3. To develop student centred learning in order to enhance the diagnostic skill in the student which enable them to take decision promptly and accurately in the organisation.
  4. To focus on personality development of the student and providing innovative leaning environment.
  5. To encourage the student for self employment through Entrepreneurship.

Eligibility: A Candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme shall have passed graduation in any faculty from the any University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized Universities in India or abroad recognized equivalent thereto in any discipline (Science, Art, Commerce or any other) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in aggregate.<br/> B.Candidates who have appeared or are going to appear in graduation final year examination may apply for admission to MBA Programme for the coming academic session. Admission of such candidates shall remain provisional until the specified date to that year and if he/she fails to submit his/her mark sheet showing that he/she has passed graduation examination with at least 50% marks, in aggregate, his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
