After the establishment of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer on 01 August1987, The Department of History was established in the university, in the year 1990. The Department wasamong the first few academic departments that was established in the university. The department offer courses for postgraduate degree in History subject. Since its establishment, many students have been awarded PhD and Master's degree in various fields. These students are now working in various governmental and non governmental organisations and contributing in the development of country.
