Profile

The Department of Commerce was established in the year 2000. It offers programme in Master of Commerce (Economic Administration and Financial Management) (30 seats) under regular scheme, Master of Commerce (Business Administration) (30 seats) and Master of Commerce (A.B.S.T.) (30 seats) is run under self finance scheme.

It also offers  M. Phil (Economic Administration and Financial Management) (15 seats) and Ph. D in Commerce under regular scheme and M. Phil (Business Administration) (15 seats) and M. Phil (Accountancy and Business Statistics) (15 seats) is run under self finance scheme.

The Department provides a stimulating environment for an all-round development of the students. To expose the student with latest developments in financial and corporate sectors, the department offers Dissertation in the Final year of the Post Graduate Programme (PG) and also by giving Business Plan, paper presentation, Mock interview, Quiz, seminar, discussion and workshop on contemporary issues. Student is encouraged to take up the responsibility for organizing academic and extra co-curricular activities/ events so as to enhance their administrative and leadership skills.
