Established in 2007, the Gargi Girls Hostel has been envisioned as a home away from home for students coming from distant regions. It provides a safe, secure, and congenial atmosphere, ensuring that students can focus on their studies and personal growth with complete peace of mind.

Accommodation and Capacity

The hostel has a total of 48 rooms with an intake capacity of 70 students, offering both single and double occupancy rooms designed for comfort and privacy. Well ventilated rooms, a peaceful environment, and thoughtfully designed spaces make it an ideal residence for academic pursuits.

• 1. Dedicated 24x7 care and supervision by a resident Matron and staff ensuring discipline, safety, and wellbeing
• 2. Warden can be contacted at any time when required
• 3. Nutritious and hygienic meals with the mess run on a cooperative basis
• 4. Sports facilities and open play areas including badminton, volleyball, basketball, and lawn tennis courts
• 5. Common room with TV, refrigerator, reading space, and indoor games like carom, chess, and ludo

• 9. Mess monitor selected from students on a rotation basis

How to Apply

The application form for admission to the Gargi Girls Hostel for the academic session 2026 27 will be available on the MDS University website. Candidates must submit the duly filled application form forwarded by the Head of the Department to the hostel office.

Fees Structure

Note: Mess is run on a cooperative basis. Maintenance charges include 2000 as hostel security money refundable. Room rent includes 500 as caution money refundable.
