Center for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (Center for ESBM) is dedicated to entrepreneurial education and MSME development with a strong foundation in Swadeshi philosophy and Vedic values. The Center for ESBM at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, is a pioneering academic center dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship, small business development, and self-reliance among youth. Established on 24 April 2004 with the support of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, the Center plays a vital role in fostering innovation and enterprise creation in the region.

Guided by the philosophy of Swadeshi and Vedic wisdom, Center for ESBM integrates modern management education with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), ethical leadership principles, and value-based learning. The Center believes entrepreneurship is not merely a career choice but a national responsibility contributing to sustainable and inclusive growth.

The Center offers postgraduate programmes with special focus on Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management, along with functional specializations in Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management. The curriculum is aligned with NEP-2020 and emphasizes experiential learning through live projects, field exposure, start-up mentoring, and industry interaction.

Center for ESBM specializes in organising Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs), Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs), skill development workshops, rural entrepreneurship initiatives, and consultancy services for MSMEs. The Center encourages local enterprise development, indigenous business models, and community-centric innovation in alignment with the Swadeshi approach.

Center’s Motto is “स्वावलम्बनम् समृद्धेः मूलम्” (Self-reliance is the foundation of prosperity).

Through the harmonious blend of contemporary management practices and Vedic ethical foundations, Center for ESBM aims to nurture visionary entrepreneurs who are socially responsible, culturally rooted, and globally competent.
